Old Business:
Edie joined the meeting to share information about the conflict resolution/clear communication process and progress.  She turned over to the board, the materials she has collected since she will be at Tassajara for the fall practice period.  There is a file of resources including material from San Francisco Zen Center and a process to use as needed when differences need to be resolved---a "starter kit."  She also passed on membership coordinator materials including what was used last year for our annual fund drive.  The materials will be kept in a file cabinet in the office and Edie is available while she is here, to talk with anyone who is interested in taking these jobs.

The  board will be looking into ways of filling the position of bookkeeper.  Terry Thompson has volunteered to be the new membership coordinator.  Thank you Terry and thanks to Edie for your work in this area.

New Business :
There was a request to send a $50 donation to Jean Selkirk of the Berkley Zen Center  for the help she has provided for sewing priest's robes.  This request was approved.

Fundraising and Membership mailings: It was proposed to do only one physical mailing per year and that it be during our November fund raising drive.  Everyone on our mailing list would receive the fund raising letter along with an invitation to become a member if they have not already.

The January membership drive would then be an email-only appeal to current members asking them to renew their membership via email or sending in a paper form which is available at the Dharma Hall.  This plan would be simpler and cost less.  The board approved this proposal.

The next board meeting will be Friday August 2, from 4:15-5:45pm at the CO-OP connections building.

Respectfully,   John Wiley    secretary
