5:30 arrive, open building

5:55 light altar for opening: main candle, work candle, greeting sticks, no kobako, one stick out.  No han (to let the neighbors sleep)

6:00am zazen (opening with robe chant, early morning bells, and priest's jundo)

(Ino or Doan does big bells w/prostrations, do 3 bells with doshi after jundo: o at mat, o towards seat, o away from seat)

6:25am kinhin (Two bells ends zazen before kinhin. Start and end kinhin with clackers. Returning to seats after kinhin lead bow, sit down)

6:35am zazen (Three bells to start zazen, on your own)

7:00am kinhin

7:10am zazen

7:37 light altar for service: work candle, bodhisattva candles,  yes kobako, no greeting sticks, two incense sticks out

7:40am service (Play mokugyo: in Service A for the third chant - Enmei Jukku Kannon Gyo - after Hymn to the Perfection of Wisdom, in Service B: both the first chant - Maka Hanya Haramita Shin Gyo - and Shosai Myo Kitchijo Dharani). See service write ups in doan or kokyo books.

8:00am oryoki breakfast (No jobs)

8:40am break (Extinguish altar)

8:48 light altar for opening: both candles, greeting sticks, no kobako, one stick out

9:00am zazen (bells with priest:  o at mat after incense offering, o towards seat, o away from seat)

9:30am work period (end zazen period with one bell as not kinhin following) (extinguish altar)

10:05am end work (light altar after short break: just large candle)

10:10am zazen (three bells on your own)

10:40am kinhin

10:50am Dharma Talk (no jobs, Ino does bells)

11:50am zazen (three bells on your own, note just 20 minutes)

12:07 light altar for service: work candle, bodhisattva candles, yes kobako, no greeting sticks, one incense stick out

12:10pm service (Metta Sutta) (no jobs)

12:20 oryoki lunch (no jobs)

1:48 light altar for opening: both candles, yes greeting sticks, no kobako, one stick out
1:50 Ten Minute Han

2:00 zazen (bells with priest:  o at mat after incense offering, o towards seat, o away from seat)

2:30 kinhin

2:40 zazen (three bells on your own to start, let head tea server end with clackers - no bell to end)

3:10 kinhin 

3:20 ceremony setup/break (re-light the altar like for service: work candle, bodhisattva candles, kobako, stick of incense out)

3:30 Buddha's Birthday Ceremony  (play the drum (or mokugyo) during the slow chanting of the Heart Sutra)

4:00 informal tea/break (extinguish altar)

3:55 light altar (just large candle) and roll down and single bit on the bell to call people back

4:30 zazen (three bells on your own)

4:57 light altar for service: work candle, bodhisattva candles, no greeting sticks, one incense sticks out

5:00 service (Dai Hi Shin Dharani) (play mokugyo for the sutra)

5:10 dinner break (extinguish altar)


6:48 light altar for opening: both candles, yes greeting sticks, no kobako, one stick out
6:50 Ten Minute Han

7:00 zazen (bells with priest:  o at mat after incense offering, o towards seat, o away from seat)

7:30 kinhin

7:40 zazen (3 bells on your own to start, 2 to end)

8:10 kinhin

8:20 zazen (3 bells on your own to start, 2 to end)

8:50 refuges (get ready at end of third repeat: ring bell once as priest bows, two rings as exits, lead final bow when sangha is ready to leave the zendo)

9:00 end of day (extinguish altar)
