Wednesday nights in July, Red Cedar Zen teacher Ryushin Andrea Thach will be teaching and leading discussion on Our Embodied Life highlighting the examples of four women Dharma ancestors.
We will study the examples of Mahapajapti and fearlessness on July 6; Kitsogatomi and the receptive heart on July 13 Senjo and our true body on July 20; Chiyono and letting it all fall apart on July 27. We will share your lives and experiences in practice and unfold the dharma together. If you have questions, please contact Andrea at 510-298-7833.
To allow plenty of time for discussion and interaction around the examples of these powerful women dharma ancestors we'll have our "seminar schedule" of:
7:00pm zazen 7:40pm kinhin 7:50pm service 8:05pm talk & discussion 9:00pm refuges & close.
Please join us for this 4-session seminar on Wednesday evenings with our new sangha teacher, Ryushin Andrea Thach. Spiritual Director Nomon Tim Burnett will be away on his annual sabbatical and has invited Andrea to offer the sangha these teachings. (look for tales of his trip to Kenya to meet the young woman his family has sponsored there for the last 10 years on his return in August).
No registration or RSVP is required. This program will be held on our regular Wednesday evening practice time.
