About Red Cedar

Founded in 1991, Red Cedar Zen Community is a Soto Zen practice community in Bellingham, Washington. We are in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki-roshi, author of Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind and found of San Francisco Zen Center. We are affiliated with The Everyday Zen Foundation and EDZ founder Zoketsu Norman Fischer of Muir Beach, California. Our Guiding Teacher, Nomon Tim Burnett, is a full member of the  Sōtō Zen Buddhist Association. 

We invite you to join us in unfolding the Buddha Way as it runs through every moment of our lives. Also:
