Celebrate Ryushin Kate Korn-McKenna's practice and service to our sangha

Red Cedar Zen Community would like to warmly invite everyone - sangha, family and friends - in support of the Completion of Training Ceremony (Menjuhai: "Face-to-Face Bow of Transmission") for Ryushin Kate Korn-McKenna.

At this ceremony Ryushin Kate will receive her gray rakusu and a certificate of completion of training from Guiding Teacher Nomon Tim Burnett.

The ceremony commemorates Ryushin Kate's many years of Zen practice and  devoted service to Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha.

This intimate ceremony will be immediately followed by a potluck reception and tea. Please bring finger food and your warm hearts.

If you have questions, need assistance registering for this event or anything else, please contact admin@redcedarzen.org.

This special ceremony will immediately follow the community's September one-day sitting with Hannah Sullivan, the details of which can be found here.  The sitting and ceremony will occur in the Social Hall of the Unitarian Fellowship, which is downstairs.  You can access the Social Hall by going around the building to the left (walkway with stairs) until you find the back doors.  For those supporting and celebrating Ryushin Kate on Zoom, you will join the ceremony using the link to our Online Zendo found on the Zendo page of our website.
