The Zen ceremony of jukai (literally "receiving precepts") is a ceremony of commitment to the Zen precepts, the Zen path, and the sangha. Done by lay students it marks a deepening of commitment and a warming of relationship with the teacher. Please register to RSVP (no fee).
Join use on Saturday October 29th for the ceremony of jukai in which Ken Oates, Jaren Hope-Leondard, and Ann Mickelson will receive the precepts from Nomon Tim Burnett.
The ceremony is preceded by our usual Saturday morning practice with potluck breakfast and then a day retreat from 10am to 3pm.
Lunch during the retreat will be shared oryoki style, featuring foods from the dharma hall garden beds.
RSVP for attendance at the jukai so we know head count, no registration fee.

6am - 8:30am Morning Sit details here. Drop-in.
8:30am - 9:30am Potluck breakfast. Feel free to bring something to add to the hot cereal and hot drinks provided.
