Samu - Zen work - is a key part of the Zen Buddhist practice tradition. Harmonizing body and mind we sweep, repair, and tend the temple.
Please join the Red Cedar Zen Sangha for a joyful full morning of working together on many of the 1st Saturdays of the month.
Schedule - after our usual early morning meditation practice and potluck breakfast (6am - 9:00am) we'll begin work at 9am, continue until noon when we'll enjoy a potluck lunch together. Closing about 1:00pm.
Feel free to bring your ideas and sangha projects, including training, some tools, a little food to share for either breakfast or lunch, but most importantly: just bring yourself.
‘When you do something, you should burn yourself up completely, like a good bonfire, leaving no trace of yourself.’~Shunryu Suzuki-roshi
