Better Angels Skills Workshop
How to Talk Across the Political Divide
The election is over, but we’re still polarized.
What? An interactive workshop to learn skills for having respectful conversations that clarify differences, search for common ground, and support our relationships.
After a presentation, you will have an opportunity to practice conversation skills. You will partner with someone of your same political persuasion—conservative or liberal. If you fall somewhere in the middle, you can choose a side for purposes of practicing the skills.
Who? Anyone interested in having better conversations with people
on the other side of the political aisle
When? Saturday, December 1, 2018 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Where? St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2530 Cornwall Ave., Bellingham, WA
Organizers: Cara Tanis, Lutheran Pastor, and Edie Norton, Zen Priest
This workshop is offered Free of Charge for the benefit of all.
Pre-registration is required by Monday, November 26th.
