2020 Winter Practice Period - Key Dates

Our annual Winter Practice Period is a time of more focussed and intentional practice. Many years the Practice Period is further supported by a head student (shuso) who takes on some teaching roles. In 2020 there will be no shuso and the Practice Period will be led by Guiding Teacher Nomon Tim Burnett.

2020 Winter Practice Period main dates:

• Opening Ceremony - Wednesday January 22nd 
• Practice Period class - Wednesdays January 29 through February 26 (6pm - 6:50pm).
• One-Day Sesshin - Saturday February 1st 
• Introduction to Zen Meditation Class - Mondays February 3rd to 24th 6:30pm - 8:00pm
• Parinirvana Ceremony - Wednesday February 12th
• Closing Sesshin - Wednesday March 4 through Sunday March 8
• Shosan Dharma Questions Ceremony - Sunday March 8th at 11am
• Closing Ceremony - Wednesday March 11th
