On April 27th the Red Cedar Zen Community will begin a new weekly program: "Reading Dogen." We will meet on Zoom at 7:00 pm on Monday evenings hosted by Sangha teacher and Tanto (head of practice) Shudo Chris Burkhart.

For an hour we will read and discuss Dogen.

We'll start with the fascicle Bendowa, On the Endeavor of the Way, using the Tanahashi translation. In Bendowa, Dogen lays out the foundation of his teaching and the importance of zazen.

Please register! If you don't have the Zoom link or password or you have trouble downloading the text, please contact Shudo Chris at shudochris@redecedarzen.org.

Download the text of Dogen's Bendowa as a PDF you can print or read on the screen here: Shobogenzo 1 Bendowa - Tanahashi Levitt trans.pdf
