Learn the basics at our 50 minute orientation held just after our Saturday morning practice session.
Two of our senior students will offer clear instructions in this how-to, and be available to answer questions to help you get off to a good start, or to restart your ongoing practice with more clarity.
Key topics covered include zazen (sitting meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), how to bow and move around in a zendo (Zen practice Hall) plus valuable background on private interviews, Zen ceremonies, and much more.
Join us whether you are brand new to Zen or have been at it in a while. As our lineage founder, Shunryu Suzuki Roshi, reminds us: “In a beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in an expert's mind there are few.”
There is no charge but you must RSVP using the registration at least 48 hours before the orientation so we can assign teachers.Use the REGISTER button on the left.
