Memorial Ceremony for Shuko Edie Norton

Red Cedar Zen Community would like to warmly invite everyone - family, friends and relations near and far - to the memorial ceremony for our dear friend and sangha member, Shuko Edie Norton.

Edie died in the early morning of March 5, 2024.  She passed peacefully at home with family nearby.  At Edie's request, a few members of the community sat with her body the day that she died, sometimes meditating in silence, sometimes sharing stories, gratitude and laughter.  Edie was dressed in her exquisite hand-sewn priest's robes.

Please bring your warm hearts as we gather to remember our beloved friend, and to support her sons Dan and Alec.  Kindly use the registration to RSVP so we have a count of those attending in person.  Those wishing to attend on Zoom need not register.

Potluck finger food is invited.  Kindly bring something to share if you are able to do so.

In lieu of flowers, you might make a donation to an organization that supports the causes and concerns of women.

Location: Note the memorial will be held in the Bellingham Unitarian Church's Sanctuary where they hold their church services. After entering at the front doors on Ellsworth go straight to the back and then right through the two large doors (not downstairs).
