At the April 19th April Painting Work Party the primer and first coat will have hopefully gone up. This weekend we'll be finishing the painting (final coat, trim) and starting in on laying our snap-together floating floors.
We'll be workinng on both days this weekend (Saturday 4/26 and Sunday 4/27) from 9AM-4PM--we are aiming for a late May opening of our new zendo and this is a wonderful opportunity to make a big push towards completion.
Many hands make light work: our crazy hope is to paint all of the walls in the entire temple in one day!
Once we finish up the painting, we'll start laying floor! The more hands, the better for both the painting and floor projects. And as always, there are many different ways to support this project.
Bring if you have them: paint rollers and covers, medium or large brushes that are in decent shape, thin gloves if you'd like to keep your hands cleaner. And wear clothes you really don't mind spattering with paint.
Timing: We'll definitely be in full swing for our full period scheduled time from 9am to about 4pm. RSVP'ing with a note on when you'll be there is a help for coordinating though.
Able to stay for lunch? Please bring a sack lunch.
