Opening the Eyes of the Buddha

Join us on Saturday August 30th for the grand opening of Sansui-ji temple.

More details to follow but look forward to something like:

• 3pm-5pm Soji: a short work party to clean the building & prepare 
• 5pm. Open house and potluck dinner (arrive any time 5pm-6:30pm)
• 7pm: Opening the Eyes of the Buddha ceremony 
• 7:30pm: the first "official" zazen sitting meditation period
• 8:00pm: and the first "official" kinhin walking meditation period
• 8:10pm: chanting and bowing service
• 8:30pm: close

While this is primarily an in-person event the 7pm-8:30pm formal program in the zendo will also be available on Zoom. If you're remote and unable to make it to Bellingham, check us out through our new Zoom-in technology!
