Sansui-ji Birthday Party & Sangha Celebration

Come Celebrate our Temple's First Birthday 
and the incredible sangha that practices here

Join us on Saturday, August 29th for a sangha potluck celebration of our first year at Sansui-ji temple. Whether you've been coming weekly or this will be your first time in the temple you are warmly welcome. Partners and kids invited!

Schedule:

• Optional: 3pm-4pm Soji: a short work party to clean the building & prepare 
  
• 4pm. Games, relaxation, fellowship. Have some lawn games you can bring? Cornhole? Croquet? Spikeball?
  
• 5pm: Potluck Dinner with statements of gratitude 
  
• 7:00pm: a zazen period together to quietly celebrate our beautiful zendo.
  
• 7:30pm:  kinhin walking meditation period
  
• 7:40pm: chanting and bowing service with dharma statements
  
• 8:10pm: close

Coming in person? If you can come at 5pm to join the sangha potluck gratitude dinner. Please add a note to the Potluck Coordinating Sheet about what you'll bring once you know.

You might also consider a short statement of gratitude you might share during the dinner.

It's also fine to arrive at 6:50 for the 7pm ceremony - indicate this with your registration.
