An important ceremony for the Shuso's training and part of the culmination of Practice Period.
Join us with a question from the heart to share with Shuso Ikushun Desiree Webster at the Hossinshiki ceremony which also concludes the Practice Period Closing Sesshin.
Everyone who participated in the Winter Practice Period is warmly encouraged to attend whether you are signed up for the sesshin or not.
The ceremony is a heart-to-heart encounter between each Practice Period student and the shuso. Together we bring up the Dharma in this important empowerment ritual for the shuso and the sangha.
The ceremony at 2pm includes zazen, kinhin and the ceremony, and takes about 90 minutes.
Location: In-person and online - for directions visit the Our Zendo page of the website.
Registration if you are not already attending the sesshin: Please register for the ceremony here and choose between the in person and online options. If you are joining us in-person, please arrive about 10 minutes early and enter during kinhin (walking meditation) and observe our current Covid Safety Guidelines.
