2026 Practice Period Opening Ceremony

Join us for this important sangha evening with meditation and ceremony to open our annual 8-week Fall Practice Period and consider our intentions for practice during this time. The Opening Ceremony is also the first part of the Opening Sesshin. 

This year we will practice under the guidance of our Shuso (head student) Juriki Samuel Senerchia.

First, Guiding Teacher Teacher Nomon Tim Burnett and incoming Shuso Juriki Samuel will conduct the Shuso Entering Ceremony.

This is followed by the Practice Period Opening Ceremony in which practice period participants will be invited to share their intentions for this year's Practice Period.

This ceremony takes place during our regular Wednesday evening practice time and is a part of your Practice Period participation (apply here). It doesn't require a separate registration. If attending in person, please come for the entire evening.
