An important ceremony for the Shuso's training and the culmination of Practice Period.
Join us with a question from the heart to share with Juriki Samuel Senerchia at the Hossinshiki ceremony which also concludes the Practice Period Closing Sesshin.
The ceremony is followed by a sangha potluck lunch and celebration at Samish. If you are arrriving from outside the sesshin please bring a potluck dish to share.
Everyone who participated in the Fall Practice Period is warmly encouraged to attend whether you are signed up for the sesshin or not.
The ceremony is a heart-to-heart encounter between each Practice Period student and the shuso. Together we bring up the Dharma in this important empowerment ritual for the shuso and the sangha.
You will be invited to ask the shuso a question about the Dharma. This should be a genuine question about your own practice, life, and heart. The shuso will respond from their felt experience as the practitioner in the center of our shared mandala.
Registration if you are not already attending the sesshin:RSVP for the ceremony here indicating in person or on Zoom. If you are joining us in-person, please arrive about 10 minutes early and enter during kinhin (walking meditation).
